International Relief Teams (IRT) a group with whom we partner for eye treatment of underserved people went on a fact finding mission to Haiti and invited members of Help Is On The Way Ministries to come along. Our objective was to examine the area and look for ways HIOTWM could help by way of Eye Surgeries, mainly Cataracts. We discovered that along with the devastation wreaked by the 2010 earthquake Haiti are extremely poor and blindness in the country is very high. We are looking to partner sometime in the future with IRT to tackle the issue of blindness.
